In what was one of the most frequented sporting events in the history of Philadelphia, Jeremy Stephens returned fans to the disappointed house.
In the BKFC Knucklemania 5 Main Event, Stephens (3-0) Batted Home City Son Eddie Alvarez (1-2) Before A Corner Stoppage Came Between Round 3 and 4. The Event Took Place Saturday at Wells Fargo Center with an announced of 17,762.
The fight was relatively competitive for the first two laps, but Stephens really started to withdraw as Tour 3 progressed. Alvarez was overturned twice during the three minutes. He manipulated the first Knockdown well and gave the crowd a boost as he got up.
The second knockdown, however, painted a dark image. Alvarez was notably injured by the blow and seemed to have an internal debate with himself to know if he wanted to continue or not. Although he was counting the referee Dan Miragliotta, the tour ended and he returned to his corner.
After talking with his head coach Mark Henry, the corner made the decision to end the fight.
Stephens then went into mean mode as he narrated the fans who beat his wings, a wink by stiffening the Eagles of Philadelphia. During his post-combat promotion, Stephens was asked who he then wanted and in a steple co-owner of BKFC, Conor McGregor, who dropped his signature insult “who the Fook is this guy?”
McGregor said on several occasions that he would fight Stephens and that it was just an appointment. The two went front to head before exchanging a powerful DAP-up.
