Shedeur Sanders to meet with NFL coaches at Shrine Bowl, but not play

Shedeur Sanders makes an appearance at the East-West Shrine Bowl this weekend, but the quarterback will not play. Sanders was spotted on the sidelines of Saturday’s practice and reportedly has no plans to play in next week’s game, according to ESPN.

Instead, he will be networking. Sanders, expected to be a top-two pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, met with several teams on Friday, according to multiple reports. This group included the teams with the top three picks in the draft: the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants.

Sanders was spotted speaking with New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll during practice on Saturday. The former Colorado QB had previously shown some interest in the Giants, back when the team was in line to hold the No. 1 overall pick.

Sanders also made a good impression on Titans coach Brian Callahan, who praised the 22-year-old quarterback after his introduction Friday.

“You can tell he was raised well,” Callahan said, via the Titans. “He’s mature, he’s got a very calm demeanor and he seems like a really good guy. I enjoyed talking with him. And you could say he’s a guy who’s been in the spotlight. He knows how to behave, he was given money, so he has financial prospects. It was a very good first impression.

Callahan also praised Miami quarterback Cam Ward, who is currently projected as the No. 1 overall pick by Yahoo Sports, calling him “incredibly talented.”
